Reflections in a swamp

Click image for a larger view

At the bottom of the steps leading from the TransPennine trail into Gower Hey Woods duckboards normally provide safe passage across a piece of swampy ground.

This is how it looked a few weeks ago after a lot of heavy rain. In the last couple of days we've had even more rain and although it is only a few minutes walk away I haven't been down to see what it looks like now. I'd expect that the duckboards by now will be totally submerged.

See how the duckboards looked in April 2011 on Hyde DP Vol.1.

View the steps leading to them on Hyde Daily Photo Vol.2.
