Oakland Masonic Hall

I was at Oaklands Masonic Hall yesterday following the funeral of my friend Doug Grieve.

This view shows the front entrance.

In my post of 24th October 2012 I gave details of its history and reported that Oaklands Hall was built in 1838 as a residence for local business men and was once occupied by Daniel Adamson – an engineer, involved with the digging and opening of the Manchester Ship Canal.

This is the side view of Oaklands Hall. A new conservatory is presently being built on the other side of the hall which is now run by Oaklands Masonic Club.
