A stray cat with only three legs turned up outside the Central Methodist Church a few weeks ago. One of the ladies who serves tea on a Saturday morning bought it some food.
I don't know what has happened to it since, but there's another photo on Hyde Daily Photo.

ooh, it looks like a sweet little cat.
Does it look like the leg has been surgically amputated ?
If so, I 'spect it belongs to someone close by, and he has a little galavant every once in awhile.
He seems happy enough.
