Runners on the Trans Pennine Trail

Several runners are lumbering up on the Trans Pennine Trail before the start of a race.

On Sunday 31st October 2010 a group of around thirty runners gathered at Swains Valley for a Halloween Race. Here the organiser is giving them the route instructions.

Whether it was 5 miles or 5 kilometres I can't remember. The route was along the Trans Pennine Trail to Apethorn and then towards Gibraltar Bridge before doubling back along the Peak Forest Canal to Apethorn and returning to the start.

Another photo of some runners can be found on Hyde Daily Photo.

  4. I imagine England must have perfect weather for running. I may lace up my runners if I ever come to visit.
