It snowed on Saturday
A look over Swains Valley. By 1pm it had been snowing for about half an hour and the footpaths were white over but the grass was still green.
At 2.15pm snow was continuing to fall and was now covering the grassed area.
By 3.30pm the snow was good enough to bring out locals with their sledges to slide down the slope from the junction of the footpaths from Garside Street and Haughton Street towards the TransPennine trail.
It froze overnight and was white over. Early morning fog lifted and by 9am the regulars were out walking their dogs.
As the day went on a slow thaw set in and by Monday morning it was more or less gone.
See Hyde Daily Photo for an extra snowy view from last Saturday.
