Looking across the flattened market ground
Following the work on Saturday removing the remnants of the old market stalls the Northern half of the market ground has now been cleared pending the first phase of the planned renovation.
As can be seen the market is still trading on the Southern section which will be upgraded under phase two when work on the Northern section has been completed.
For just a short while there is an uninterrupted view across to the Town Hall.
See the view in the opposite direction on Hyde Daily Photo.

Knowing how councils think, there's be less stalls and the rents will be higher!
