Although there had been snow on the nearby hills earlier and some frosty mornings the first real snow of 2016 at low levels fell on the evening of January 16th.
There was a light scattering in the morning but although it remained cold throughout the day the snow had all gone by late afternoon.

ReplyDeleteStill a pretty sight. Our snow stays around well into April.
ReplyDeleteI waded through yards of the stuff for more years than I can count and was happy to retire to a warmer climate! The best thing about snow is that it's beautiful. I always enjoyed watching it fall and the aftermath where it appears that a blanket has been spread over the earth. Lovely stuff.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty wintry photography of your first snowfall ~
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend to you ~ ^_^
