The pub on Talbot Road, Newton is affectionately known by locals as The King Bill.

The landlord in the 1980s was Derek Quinn who was the guitarist in the 1960s group, Freddie and the Dreamers.

  1. Looks like a place I'd enjoy! The part I miss most about living in England is just sitting in a cozy pub with a pint and a paper.

  2. A very good pub and doing very well at the moment under the watchful eye of Dave Parrott the landlord. The pub as a nice cozy vault which the building trade lads put to good use. The chap about to go in is Wilf one of the many regulars. Long may this pub keep going.
